Second time here. These guys do a fantastic job. Neil, Andy, and the crew are top notch. Would highly recommend for either a stay or to get work done.
This is a fantastic marina. Staff was fantastic (especially Mark the Dockmaster) and the facility is clean and well maintained.
People are great. Location is great—right downtown. However, we rolled constantly for 4 days. While I never expect much from marina wireless signals, this one was less than horrible. In addition, the fairway was extremely narrow, clearly not laid out for your typical 40-ish foot cruising sailboat.
Great marina, great location. Jay the Dockmaster is extremely helpful. Will be back.
Stayed on a mooring ball for several days in November, 2020. Larry (harbormaster) is super helpful and friendly. Moorings are well spaced and held in a 40k blow. This has very easy access from the ICW. We came in to the ICW up at Wrightsville Beach, came down to Carolina Beach where we spent a couple weeks (the rest of our time on the hook in the anchorage just north of the mooring fields), then down the Cape Fear river and back to the outside at the Cape Fear inlet. Gave us a nice and safe 20 mile stretch of the ICW, some excellent time at Carolina Beach, then back out to the outside.
