This is a fine municipal marina for long term dockage, particularly for smaller powerboats. It is not so good for transient sailboats such as ourselves. The visiting boat dock is exposed to SE winds and chop through the breakwater gap. The dock planking is long past it's replacement date, with very slick and uneven boards. The marina has posted warning signs about the condition of the dock - they need to get on with replacement. The laundry and shower facilities are fine, as are the utilities and WiFi. There is no grocery store within a reasonable walk. There are several restaurants within 0.5 mile in the old downtown area. After renovation, and if the transient dock were placed along the SW wall, more protected and closer to the facilities, this would be a fine marina to visit.

Excellent marina at the foot of old town Pensacola. Easy entrance through the breakwater and docking at the floating transient dock. Attentive and helpful dock master. Transient dock close to showers and laundry and a fine restaurant overlooking the marina. Good utilities and WiFI. Boat US discount off of the $1.50 per day fee makes this a very good value.

I have to give this marina only three stars because of the difficult and exposed transient dock. Prevailing winds pinned us to the dock, making departure difficult. It's also a LONG walk to the undersized facilities (for a marina this size) of ONE washer & drier and ONE shower for each gender. The only resort restaurant was not open for lunch, and it's a long way to anything else. It's basically a destination resort with a marina that is fine for long term dockage but not very convenient for transient boaters. NO Boat US discount on the $1.50 per foot per day plus $7.50 utilities fee.
