It's a great spot and high quality dock space if you can get in. They are usually filled up and sold out, but we got lucky on a beautiful Saturday in September. The location can't be beat, conveniently walk to everything in Edgartown.
Scenic island with plenty of dock space. If you have a smaller boat (<34 ft.), bring longer lines as there is significant distance between the pilings. Harbormaster and staff are very helpful. There's not much available for sale on the island, so stock up on beverages and supplies. There are a couple of fish markets, raw bar, lobster hut, ice cream stand, gift shop, and small market for sundries. No liquor. One of the B&B's does breakfast and there's a pizza place that's only open in the evenings. Good place to unplug.
It's a quaint harbor, not far from Cuttyhunk across Vineyard Sound. There are some nice fish markets and stores within walking distance. There is a seasonal bike ferry across Menemsha Pond, which allows you to walk or bike to Gay Head Lighthouse (about 4 miles) and take in the spectacular views. Very helpful harbormaster and staff, especially with dock lines and recommendations for things to do in the area, The dock spaces are a little tight and there are pilings, so it's best to go stern in and tie bow lines to the pilings first. Good location and great experience, will be back again soon!
Excellent quality dock and facilities. Helpful dock hands and very convenient location.
Great setup, plenty of moorings and space. Efficient shuttle service. Good experience.
