In all the years of cruising I have never experienced such a poorly operated Marina. My experience began with a small tour boat, that operated out of the Marina cutting me off while I was beginning my approach to the slip that was assigned and “reserved” for me. It should be noted that there were many additional dock slips empty and available for other Marina boats, none in this area were assigned to the group of various types of aquatic rental equipment at the other end of the dock. Although we tried to get the boat operator’s attention she ignored us, tied the boat and proceeded to unload her passengers. Only when she was done did she acknowledge us and finally move. From there, it only got better. Our slip was next to a 44 ft million $ yacht with what appeared to be a couple of people here to give a seminar or such at somewhere near the Marina. Later in the day they came back with about 20 young, clean cut, well dressed people for a tour of the boat. They left and all came back later, that evening, for a party. They played music (much rap style) incredibly loud and continuously until well after 0300 in the AM. We went grocery shopping in the AM and saw them leaving the dock in the early afternoon. Then to to add insult to injury, later in the day while my wife and I were trying to enjoy some time there with some wine, one of the rental boats, also from the other end of the Marina dock, pulled in with a bunch of people with blaring music, who objected to our request for them to move out of the slip next to us, to down where they rented the boat from and that these were Marina spaces, which we paid for. After a lot of words, particularly from a young female entitled big mouth and an escalating situation we got them to leave. Throughout all of this the only involvement of anyone from the “so called “Marina” was upon arrival and only after the first encounter. Not only does this Marina not provide normal services, like showers, heads or pump outs, any kind of security or controls on what’s happening there, they they ignore ignorant and obnoxious behaviors at a cost similar to the St Petersburg Municipal Marina at which we’ve had great experiences with their complete Marina services and desiring to please professional staff. This Marina was a total waste of money!!!
