I have been familiar with Safe harbor Marathon/Marathon Marina for over 20 years. It did win an award in 2018 but the condition/services since becoming a corporate facility have greatly diminished. The bathrooms were almost completely neglected for weeks until an outside cleaning service was hired. There used to be security with a closing gate which no longer is operable which allows anyone access at any time. The laundry facilities are deplorable as there are 3 washers and 2 dryers inoperable and the washers take over an hour and a half to do a 30 minute load. Only on two days a week are boats able to be hauled out as there is no one on the premises capable of this function. If there was an emergency I don't think one could get their boat pulled. There is a floating bath house that has been inoperable and no plans to fix other than to pull it out but no effort has been made. I have been given a plethora of excuses on all issues. Maybe it's corporate. I do like the staff as they are friendly and helpful. I apologize to any of the staff if this is a reflection on them. These issues have been ongoing for months with no rectification in sight.
