Description

Gateway to Kent Island, Bay Bridge Marina is located at the eastern end of the William Preston Lane Memorial Bridge- “Chesapeake Bay Bridge”- a roughly 4 mile span connecting the island to Maryland’s Western Shore. Its location makes it a perfect home and destination for boaters who are looking for a central location with easy access to Oxford, St Michaels, Annapolis and Baltimore. Spectacular sunsets complement some of the finest dining in Maryland and Hemingway’s Restaurant provides the perfect spot to enjoy both the sunset and a great view of ships passing through the channel under the Bay Bridge. It is adjacent to a small public airport, and just a short distance from Terrapin Park, the western terminus of the Cross Island trail, popular with cyclists and runners. Historic Stevensville is just to the northeast of the marina, offering unique shops, galleries and eateries in its quiet historic district. The marina offers entertainment on summer weekends, and monthly parties for slip holders.

Bay Bridge Marina is home to the Bay Bridge Boat Show an annual fixture at the end of April, the Great Chesapeake Bay Swim in June, and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge run

Navigating the Water

The Bay Bridge is an easy to spot landmark. Bay Bridge Marina is located on its south eastern end, and the entrance to the channel is right in line with the Hemingway’s sign on top of the restaurant. As you approach the shore, look for the channel to be marked by buoys with flashing green and red lights. The channel is marked as being 9’, and you’ll have 6.5’ MLW when you get inside the breakwater.
