Shaganash Light

The active Shaganash Light, established in 1910, sits on Island #10, location just west of Shaganash Island, about 35 miles east of Thunder Bay in Lake Superior. It is a white pyramidal wooden tower with red railing. The current structure was built in 1922 and is 24' tall. The light is solar powered and was automated around 1954.
