Report Review

Marina needs some attention to detail asap. Price is high based upon the thresholds of other marinas in southern Maine. I wouldn’t have cared much, but for: 1. Communication/advice on the strong current. We arrived about 2 hrs before low and it was tricky to back in to our slip. The only reason I was prepared for this was because I read a prior recent review that reported a larger boat collision with significant damage. The marina should provide guidance to prepare visitors. After I docked, a large 65+ yacht came in parallel to me and they also struggled to land with the one dock hand present (who did his best). Without my help, this boat would have likely hit my boat. 2. Bathroom/shower was filthy…floor was flooded, mold in shower, and a teak shower mat covered in black mold. This room is located on the back corner of a nearby commercial building and it took me quite a while to find it (tell guests where it is from now on). When I found it, I walked back to my boat and showered there instead. 3. Print up some cards with Wi-Fi PWs, bath lock combos, etc….what I got was a little piece of paper with hand written info. 4. Security gate didn’t work. I didn’t feel unsafe BUT it continues to reflect standard of mediocrity. My stay cost $250 and that was the highest nightly charge during my 2 weeks in Maine…it was also the least pleasant. Location is good for town access and the staff person present seem to do his best, so it appears to be a management/owner issue. I can’t return here and if/when you go here be careful.
