Maryland Yacht Club

My stay being after the boating season, I had a very pleasant quiet month long stay. The few reservations to my stay was the reduce off season access to the yacht clubs dinning facilities, the steady rolling seas, the aged docks and the regular mosquito population. With all of this being said, I still found myself enjoying the MYC’s residence and I would certainly consider visiting again, possibly in August or September.

Really nice facility and very welcoming yacht club. Wooden fixed docks in good repair. Fuel dock with gas and diesel convenient off of river, right at mouth of Rock Creek. Excellent full bar open on weekends. We stayed at a dock for a Seven Seas Cruising Association weekend, and they could not have been more gracious. Lovely park-like grounds. Not much in the area (residential) but within easy access by Uber or Enterprise rental car.

While after Labor Day there was no one from the marina to check us in so we didn’t get a FOB to use the laundry or showers. Note I was assigned a 60x20 slip and my 18’ wide boat got wedged in the pilings so there must be some shifting in the pilings.Restaurant wasn’t open due to Seven Seas group rendezvous. An onsite restaurant was one of the reasons we chose this marina but alas not available. Would not return, so many other better marinas.

The Maryland Yacht Club was an excellent stop for us. The fixed docks are protected from wind and wake and are in good repair. The facilities were very nice with easy access to shower/heads and free laundry. Very secure, located at the end of a peninsula with gated access. Very quiet setting with nice grounds and pool during open days. The fuel dock is open 4 days a week and the young men managing it do an outstanding job. Excellent communications with the Club Commodore (Sean). We had an extended 6 day stay to visit family in the area over Independence Day and the fireworks around the bay were fantastic. We will certainly return when in the area again. Highly recommended.

Very hospitable even during their teen pageant. Dock hand was very good and helpful.

Great private facility.wonderful sunsets and happy hour at club bar. Secure gated access and parking. Fuel docks open during season. Quick access from the Upper Bay.

We spent the summer at MYC. The staff is outstanding. They were very helpful and readily replied to any requests. The pool is nice with a great view of the Patapsco River. The restaurant was only open on the weekends but the food was good and the service was great. We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed both our long term and short term stays at MYC. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful location just off the Bay with deep water! Great clubhouse and food. People were extremely friendly, helpful and amazing! Our month long stay was so good that we decided to become members.

The staff were friendly and accommodating to our needs. They even came in on their day off to sell us fuel, Plus, there's a fuel discount of 10 cents with Boats US. Free laundry. Reasonable rates and very protected from weather. I recommend this marina!

We stayed early OCT; def off-season. No one around but good communication via dock-wa app. Restrooms & showers & laundry area very clean and upgraded. Only complaint is massive amounts of guano on the dock and finger piers & our hose was too short to reach all the way down the pier to the aft where we board the boat. Sadly we’d left our mat on the dock at previous marina. Probly not an issue during season when there’s crew. Definitely would return

Excellent marina, very friendly and convenient. People are great and really a great help. Only thing, there was a bit of a lack of communication, hard to get return calls and info.

MTOA rendezvous 9/23 was great at Maryland YC. Chantelle the Club Manager was fantastic. When trees in the neighborhood took out the power she made a 10 mile drive to Dunkin’ Donuts to bring coffee for a 100 people to keep the morning schedule on time. She moved tables, tended bar and helped in the kitchen. Plus keeping the club running. We look forward to going back to MYC!

The marina has a nice location, but it is getting a little 'long in the tooth' in respect to docks & heads. We had a nice meeting over the 5 days on site. Will look forward to returning sometime in the future.

Great! There for the MTOA Rendezvous. Marina did a great job.

Older facility but clean. Deep water (10’+) on C dock. Free laundry. would give 5 stars if clubhouse was open more days and a grocery store was within biking distance.

The staff was wonderful the docks were in good shape. We had a nice refreshing swim in the pool and overall a very good time. A bonus is that the washer and dryer were free, and the showers are nice and air conditioned conditioned.

Staff was totally outstanding in spite of no electric or water due to storm. Chantelle and staff were just totally awesome with excellent & pleasant service. Boaters bathouse could definitely use some TLC. Mens restroom in Clubhouse needs more attention. Wall disenser handsoaps were always empty and the portable bottles were empty for 2 days +. Overall a great experience.

We were there for a MTOA Rendezvous. They couldn't have been more helpful. Allowing us to come in a day early. Dealing with a power outage. The staff was amazing especially Chantell.

Nice place. Pleasant people. Fixed docks, hard to get on and off with rising and falling tides. Docks lost power a few times, not the fault of the marina. Lots of thunder storms and lightning.

OMG!!! We were there for the Wounded Warriors Day on the Bay event. Fabulous is not an adequate word for the facility or the event. MYC knows how to 'put on the Ritz'. The facility is clean and modern. As part of the boats from Great Oak Yacht Club, I couldn't have asked for a better reception or ability to participate. Thank you!!!

As a past member, the club did a fantastic job hosting the Wounded Warriors event. With over 60 transient boats the services were staffed and accommodations were top notch. Thanks Commodore Carl, and the rest of the MYC Crew for all your hospitality.

Perfect location great stay

Maryland Yacht Club is a great place. From the Commodore to the dock hands and everyone between, you are treated like family. The quality of your stay and comfort, are a top priority of all hands. I strongly recommend a visit and stay at MARYLAND YACHT CLUB

The best! We loved MD Yacht Club! The people were the nicest we’ve encountered in a while and not just one but ALL! Everyone we got a chance to talk to was just wonderful. They did not hesitate when we needed to extend to a month from 2 weeks! Definitely looking into getting a membership here!

Maryland yacht club is a great place to stay if you like sailing . Right off the Patapsco river and main Chesapeake channel . the facility is clean and accommodating . The people are welcoming and helpful.

The club was closed on Wednesday so there was no reply to my radio call. We tied up at the fuel dock but found no one around. A member came by to see who we were and apologized for the lack of response. The grounds are very nice but the building was closed.

I particularly liked the test room facilities. And the yacht club members were hospitable.

Maryland Yacht Club has been in existence for 115 years. I hope tehy will be around for another 115. The Corona pandemic and bad management, which included Oasis for a time, has resulted in a much reduced membership and deferred maintenance. That said, the volunteer staff, paid staff and members made as feel welcome.

Great marina . Went there with our sailing club . Couldn't have been more pleasant. Good protection from the wind . Service was awesome had everything you need. We will be back again soon !

Excelent nice people

Even thou it was in their off season we were met at the dock by the manager and made to feel like we were home. He went out of his way to make our stay one that you wanted to come back next summer

This amazing volunteer run marina is an amazing stop with great facilities and wonderful people. Spent the weekend here and due to weather needed flexibility they gave it. These are fixed docks but the tide is minimal and for our boat were just about perfect. If you dinghy about in the bay there are some places to go visit. It is secluded and quiet while still being accessible. Great job to all there and thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great communication. We were with a sailing group and Shawn made sure dock hands were to help everyone land. Nice pool and a large pavilion with grills was icing on the cake.

The staff and members were super friendly and helpful. Plenty of information about the marina prior to arrival. We had help getting the boat secured in the slip. We were encouraged to join the members for drinks and dinner at the club. Very nice facilities in a protected bay. We will visit again.

Very well maintained grounds , incredibly friendly staff, prices were down right cheap for food and beverage . The view of the bay is amazing by the pool . I was concerned about the first the slip I received , I called the office and spoke with Karla and she made an immediate switch to something much more favorable for me . My family didn’t want to leave , can’t say enough about this trip and the staff. The blonde lady bar tender who was basically always on site :) was so friendly and bubbly , chef Dave was very friendly also and took good care of us .

Really nice management. Karla was absolutely fabulous. Had their Friday night patio (Covid times) dinner & was a wonderful dinner & cheap. Fun atmosphere. Pool is big & clean. Fixed docks are ok. Great place for kids & adults.

Really nice people and a reasonable price. Docks are fixed, wood and the ducks frequent them at night, as evidenced by their trail of white. That said, the marina is well protected from all winds and the staff is very accommodating. The showers and toilets are clean and a small laundry room is available. The dock price is half what you will pay just 20 miles south in the Annapolis area. Restaurants and groceries are about a mile walk.

The staff at this yacht club are great. They go above and beyond to ensure you have what you need to make your stay excellent. A beautiful location and nice showers too! A very clean bathhouse!

Little dated. Great price. Good dock hand. Could use some maintenance.

Very convenient getting an email the day before with a map of the docks and what slip we were to go into. The dock boys were average at best knowing what lines to take first and what direction to take them. Facilities were okay but showing wear and not many updates. Reasonably priced.longtime
