Needs to be refreshed.. plans are in the works to do so.
We spent several months in the marina while visiting family. The staff was very helpful and the location has a great museum within walking distance. Bath house was clean, free washer & dryer, and a great little restaurant. Very affordable, we will be back! S/V Freedom
This is a wonderful spot to visit. Would give 5 stars except old power pedestal gave me a shock. There is a delicious restaurant on the grounds and a brew pub within walking distance.
This simple marina is convenient to Hampton Roads via a short, well-marked channel. The facilities are modest and unpretentious, but functional and clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the dockmaster is quick to respond to our after-hours questions via the Dockwa.com messaging app. It is very quiet and safe at night. Overall, a nice place to rest and catch up on laundry and chores.
Upon approach was not given instructions how to find the fuel dock. The fuel dock is about 20 feet long and it is awkward to dock a 42 ft boat. The fuel dock attendant disconnect the line before I had a chance to start the engines. Once at the assigned slip there was another boat that needed to be moved. The dock hands only put a bow and a stern line, never offered to connect shore power. This was by far the worse Marina on our trip from Florida!
