Been at the harbor since 2006. Have always loved the staff. The past couple years were not what we were used to. Staff change came with different ways of training and what was available to boaters from the dock hands, office staff, etc. Also the early closing of the gas docks and harbor offices on any given day without any warning to boaters. Also the bathrooms being closed for the year prior to October 15. We pay for the full six months and should be able to access during the dates of May 15 to Oct 15. We have sold our boat and will be giving up our slip for the upcoming boating year. Matt and Pam Burke Slip 122

I'm in the upper harbor. My slip is very convenient and all facilities are well maintained. I'm looking forward to next season.

Best Marina on Lake Michigan Love the Marina love the people.

I am in the upper harbor in Elk Rapids next to the courtesy docks. I have several bumpers on the starboard side of my boat and yet each year I end up with several scratches on that side from other boats. On two occasions this year the boat in the courtesy dock next to me was so wide I could not get into my slip.

Great staff and a well appointed harbor. Elk Rapids never disappoints! The harbor entrance needs some serious attention to stop the endless wave action in the harbor. I have never rocked that much in any harbor on the great lakes, even Leland's entrance is better protected than Elk Rapids. Overall a 5 star rating as this harbor has so many things other harbors do not. IE A shuttle to take boaters to restaurants or shopping. A shuttle for trailerable boats when the trailer spots are full in the parking lot. A beautiful pavilion on the water and plenty of grills and picnic tables for all of teh boaters.

Best marina on the Great Lakes

Superior Harbor, facilities and an extremely helpful & friendly staff. Short walk to many village restaurants, shops, 2 beaches and the community library. Harbor also provides a shuttle service if needed.

Full season slip holder. This Marina is the best! Dock crew was leaner this year…I assume due to hiring difficulties…so assistance when coming back to the slip was much less frequent than previous years. Crew was always very courteous and capable. Need to get the portable pump out unit fixed for special needs and upper harbor. These are the only areas for improvement I can think of. Overall, another great experience!

A beautiful marina with excellent facilities next to a lovely town. We found it easy to maneuver our 42' sailboat.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. All the docks were in great shape. Bathrooms were immaculate. Downtown is just a block away with quaint stores and good restaurants.

The marina had everything needed and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Only complaint is that the bathroom code on dockwa is incorrect and we had to ask other boaters who have a permanent slip the code.

A good friend recommended this marina. And it didn’t disappoint. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and helpful. Of all the marinas on our multi week trip this was the nicest. It really shows the staff cares about the quality of the experience for boaters. We will be back next year for sure.

Clean, well equipped Marina in the great small town of Elk Rapids. Well maintained and well managed by Lori and her team. They Bend over backwards to help their visitors. Will definitely return.

We have been visiting this town for years by land to see friends. This was our first time by boat and this marina was great. The dockhands were quick to help and the facilities were clean and well maintained. The marina is less than a block from their old down town which has a few restaurants, shops and a bakery. It’s also right next to another marina on an adjacent lack so it’s a very boater friendly atmosphere. The beach is very close by and is great for swimming.

Very good price compared to elk lake marina, but I only got to stay in the slip I paid for 1 day out of 5. Luckily there was a complementary slip that was open when I tried to tie up to mine, and they had me stay there.

Perfect in all ateas

It was a great boating season. Weather wasn't very warm in July and August. I would add a few more picnic tables to the upper harbor and another grill. Besides that it was nice.

We enjoy the harbor each year as we are annual harbor slip holders.

They closed early and didn't bother to tell us when we got the head pumped out. They also didn't offer to help us dock. We did get the codes via email 30 minutes prior to closing, but nothing was posted on the office door and we didn't think to check email. Also, they were quick to tell us to leave the next day (we were past checkout time due to thunderstorms) without offering other options. It all could have been handled so much nicer, like they would at Charlevoix or Northport, but instead they curtly stated "checkout time is 11!". We were fine with leaving, we just would have appreciated a kinder more collaborative approach. They could have walked down and talked to us in person, vs. calling. It left us with a bad taste in our mouth and not excited to come back any time soon. It's a pity, because the town of Elk Rapids is so nice.

Marina is beautiful. Staff is very helpful and freindly. Facitilies are amazing and the amount of room you have to maneuvor you boat is great! Also on of the best launches I have aever used.

Elk Rapids is a great little town and the marina is prestine. We stayed four nights and enjoyed long walks, the library, and a first run movie in town. The outdoor grill and the indoor lounge spaces are exceptional. Staff is friendly and competent. We will return.\!

Very friendly staff & beautiful marina. The boaters lounge has been refurbished with new cabinets, countertops, furniture, large screen tv, microwave. Very comfortable & can seat a fairly large crowd. The flowers in the bathroom are a nice touch. Their is a courtesy van to shuttle boaters to a nearby grocery store & to restaurants.

Great marina, friendly atmosphere. Fun that we caught the Harbor Days weekend without realizing it. The fireworks were great. Great parking accommodations for our guests on the busiest day. Only reason for 4/5 rating was the dock hand was too timid and not assertive/ communicative when assisting us into our slip.

Staff should be more helping at launch ramp when it gets busy or helping people unload or land boats

Exceptionally Clean marina. Friendly and very helpful staff. Nice town with walking and bike paths. Beautiful flower gardens throughout the city. Assortment of dining and beverage opportunities. We will definitely be coming back again by boat and by vehicle.

Edward Grace Marina is by far our favorite marina. The staff is excellent. Quick to help and very friendly. The location being near the beaches made it enjoyable for the kids. Thanks again!

This was an amazing marina to stay at! The staff knew how to tie a proper knot and were very friendly and helpful. The marina is close to town and we were able to have the shuttle take us to Pearls for dinner. One of my favorite Marinas!

5 stars! Fast competent help. Super clean docks with very polite dock attendants cleaning power pedestals every morning. Facilities gleam with cleanliness and fresh flowers! Beautiful boaters lounge. Fabulous grilling area with grills and flat top.

Fantastic. Love the beach being so close. All the staff were great. The bathhouses were clean and well stocked. We will definitely recommend this marina. Suggestion: move the recycling bins from behind the bath house. We did not find them until our last day. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay

Amazing Harbor! Loved it so much we put our name on the waitlist! Amazing staff, was WOWED that staff asked for permission to come aboard to access and pump out our head! First class, great job training. May want to consider putting fan in bathrooms to help to drown out sounds, etc and add a few more washers/dryers. Love the freah cut flowers in the ladies bathroom!!!Great job! Thank you we will be back.

This is the best marina on the Great Lakes. The bathrooms are always spotless the crew who works here is always attentive and helpful. Harbor master and company are unbelievably helpful and knowledgeable about boats and are willing to jump on and help out at anytime. I highly recommend this marina if your in the arena

Had a great stay. We stayed for 3 nights.The harbor has spectacular sunset views. The town is great. The harbor is well maintained with clean facilities. The staff is very helpful and courteous.

Grounds are Like a garden tour. Knowledgeable staff. Well Organized ,Good clean power and Wi-Fi , Lounge is first class. In a Quaint town with plenty of good restaurants and Antique Shops, Friendly townsfolk . No Hussle-bussle!

Excellent season as always. The harbor is amazing, the staff is 2nd to none. Its so wonderful year after year the young ppl hired as seasonal help are so good which tells me the harbormaster and assistant harbormaster spend thoughtful time training them. It shows, they are eager, polite and hard working. The person who cares for the gardens clearly loves their job, The gardens around both pavilions and the herb garden are lovely. I would say the only issue we have would be some cranky old guy constantly complaining about anything and everything to whomever will listen. Thank God most ppl roll their eyes and steer clear. \nOur interactions with Mike Singleton have always been great, Elk Rapids is well served by having a smart, savvy, mechanically inclined, retired Coastie at the helm. Assistant Harbormaster Laurie is most capable at her job. She's fantastic with the young people who are the seasonal help, training and guiding them. I was at the gas dock office when a rude overbearing demanding, person flew in the door, Laurie immediately took the high road, clearly knowing how to deal with type of person, she deescalated the situation and moved on. Very impressive!

The management said that they closed on Oct. 14th. We needed to get some help but they were closed. They should have let us know ahead of time that no one would be there.

This Summer the Marina was managed as outstandingly as always. All employees courteous and efficient. Bathhouses always clean.

The staff makes it - every time. Great group of gentlemen who are very helpful. Clean restrooms. The only thing that is not awesome are the huge (!!!) spider webs & spiders on every railing and pedestal - we are definitely not used to that as our marina wipes them down every morning.

We recently spent 7 nights at Edward C Grace and it was an outstanding experience. The slips are great, the facilities clean and the location is amazing. We utilized their free dinghy shuttle to access the upper harbor and Torch Lake twice during our visit. What an outstanding feature! I'm not aware of a marina with more on-water opportunities than Elk Rapids. There's a perfect beach for families immediately adjacent to the marina, there's a small river you can send kids (and adults) tubing down that ends up at the beach, we saw live music on the waterfront one evening...endless entertainment. The marina can be a bit exposed to NW winds so be prepared, especially if you're in slips 1-24. That said, there's so much to do at/near this marina there's no reason to stay on your boat if it starts rolling in the slip. If you're planning to stay for more than one or two days it's helpful to plan ahead for food options. The downtown restaurants can have some very unusual/unpredictable hours. It can be difficult to find food at times. But when all else fails the Elk Rapids Marina on the upper harbor has a shop that seems to be open daily (thankfully) with some limited options. We will return to this marina. We had an absolute blast.

We love Elk Rapids. The staff is great and always busy doing something. We had one mix up while we were there when we scheduled a ride to a local restaurant at 5:15 pm and the office decided to close at 5 pm without telling us. Had to cancel our reservation. The harbor master felt very bad and did apologize. If you advertise that you are open until 8 pm you should find a way, with reduced staff, to stay open until 8 pm. Overall our trip to Elk Rapids was great. We will try it again.

Was a little disappointed. Been hearing about Elk Rapids for a long time so we decided to give it a try for a couple of days. Marina was average, people were friendly but inexperienced, town was nice.

All new staff who are confused about everything. Told us the wrong slip # which caused confusion & frustration. Dock hands had ZERO line handling skills!! & last we were kept up until 2am by loud music. But on the positive side, the facilities are nice. 😀

Clean,friendly, nice walking options. I have never used but hear they will shuttle you to a local store or grocery. Their pavilion has free bbq gas grills to use. Staff is willing to help at the gas dock as well as at the slips. There is a nice beach adjacent to the marina which is fantastic for kids but also dog friendly. We love this marina.

We stayed for two nights last week. The staff was very professional, helpful and friendly. The place was very clean. Docks are easy to get in and out. An easy walking distance to the city beach with many activities to do right there. This place is easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants. They shuttled us to another place and were very nice. Super nice docks. Cam was very helpful.
