What’s good: The staff are professional and very welcoming. The dock hand was very skilled helping us into a tight fit with wind and current working against us. The GM was very helpful with questions and made us feel very welcome.
What’s not so good and needs attention: The marina shows signs of aging: the bathrooms and laundry room need serious updating; when you leave the docks you walk on stones and dirt which make for a dusty and dirty entrance to the dock office and then back to your boat; the lighting around the docks is minimal and one must use a flashlight to move about safely. It’s unfortunate that this marina has not been kept up to date, it’s shabby and rundown looking, something more similar to a fishing dock rather than a marina. I’m hoping the new owners will take a good look around and ask themselves if this is a marina they would like to have their boat, their wives, children and pets spend time.
The staff make this place and the surrounding area if you like to walk around and have the feel of old Savannah, the neighborhood is beautiful.
