The marina is small but well managed and the Dockmaster and crew were very attentive to our needs when tying up. My vessel is 50' and requires more than 15' in finger pier length in order to exit the boat. The marina was able to give me a slip in front of Mallard's Restaurant which allowed us the full length of the bulkhead in order that we could put down our ladder-steps. And did I say that Mallard's was AWESOME? Well.....it was! We ate three meals there! There is a nice dinghy dock located just past the marina (above the bridge) where I could dock our dinghy. This afforded safe boarding for my wife and our doggie who LOVES dinghy rides and swimming. As an aside, Onancock is a beautiful, well-maintained town with some of the most beautiful "old" homes you could ever see! There are several terrific restaurants there as well, two come to mind, Janet's General Store is a must for breakfast and the Italian restaurant known as "DiVinci's" was GREAT! We will definitely return for a longer stay~! Thank you Onancock Wharf and Marina for making our stay so pleasurable. PS - during departure the wind kicked up and my 1st Mate got our spring line jammed between the piling and the dock. We had no choice but to leave it on the dock. :(
