Excellent location and great staff. We had the opportunity to stay two consecutive weekends. The staff was incredibly helpful. Great access to restaurants and shops, excellent docks and amenities. Thanks for a great stay - and look forward to returning next year.
Staff were pleasant and helpful. Winds and tides were working and they made it easy. Coming back for sure.
Absolutely perfect. Please let me know when that t dock is available..btw..left the fobs in the mailbox
Wonderful spot. Well maintained and very helpful staff. Great restaurants and amenities right there. A little tricky to get to but highly recommend
Great marina! Very accommodating. Highly recommend!
Very nice Marina. Super friendly staff and very helpful. We will be back soon. Thanks!!
Great place, friendly staff, very helpful, organized. Our slip was in a nice spot with plenty of room to get in, calm with great views of the sunset
Not much help, not very informative
Everything you need is within walking distance.
Stayed on a transient slip for one night with a sailboat. Rapid response on VHF as we approached. Staff meets you on the fuel dock and gives clear instructions on where to go, answers your questions on how you should tie up, then meets you on the slip. Dockhand/marina manager who met us repeated several times that we were on a "quiet dock". We weren't sure if he was telling us how nice it would be or sending us a message to keep it down. Maybe both. The staff were all welcoming. It was easy to find the marina facilities and then explore the area around the marina which has several decent restaurants.
Nice location, amenities & restaurant choices. Friendly staff.
Great location. Great Staff. Fuel / service dock / Restaurants / more
An absolute perfect marina for our summer slip for our boat
Love this marina! As with all marina destinations, wish there were price reductions, discounts for frequent use etc.
This is a beautiful marina with lots of shops and restaurants. The docks are concrete and are very stable. The facilities are nice and clean. The area is dog friendly. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived mid day on Saturday and they were very busy with fuel and freedom boat rentals but they still were able to help us with our slip. We can’t wait to visit again!!
The facilities are clean and very convenient. The staff at the main office as well as full
Very attentive staff, on the docks and the office. Carol was very helpful with local information. Very clean facilities, showers were very nice.
Great time here. We had a lot of fun and docking the boat was easy for land access.
Great marina. Staff is friendly and responsive. Fuel dock with ice. Prime location - step onto shore right into a number of restaurants, frozen yogurt and stores adjacent to the Marina. Wish the marine fuel prices could be brought down a bit on par with Boston, but otherwise, nothing but positive reviews all around for HSM!
Fine. But after seeing the forecast for thunderstorms/ fog etc. we left after one day. Disappointed that we had to pay. Thought a credit for future date was appropriate given weather/ safety was our concern. Marina said it was because we booked thru Dockwa. Not happy
Staff was great and got back to me right away when I called. Dockmaster met me when I docked and was very cordial.
Attentive, courteous dock assistance; great WiFi, spacious and super clean restroom/showers; flat calm waters. This dock abuts many great restaurants- one of the best stops you can make.
Clean marina with stable docks. All of the hands there that I felt with were very helpful! Regular's there are also nice & helpful! Sea ya next season!
Felt like I was in a prison. Would only give one key fob to a boat. Crazy rule!
Close to some shopping and restaurants. Boat owners and staff very nice. One fob per boat made it difficult for us to do things separately. Even though there was a slip empty next to the boat we were traveling with they would not accommodate a move and the one fob we got did not work with the gate of the dock our friends were on.
We had an excellent experience here. The marina staff were very friendly, facilities were clean, and there are TON of amenities right off the marina including grocery, restaurants/bars, etc. We will absolutely stay here again!
Great marina and surroundings including restaurants and retail stores.
Great location, nice wide slips and fairways. Good bars/restaurants nearby. Super convenient that they have a fuel dock right there as well. Staff were extremely helpful, and the canvas "welcome bag" was a very nice gesture!
always pleasant, great location and nice gift bag too!! will stay again.
The staff was friendly and helpful and the facilities were top notch.
Arrived at around 7pm, was trying to reach marina via cell phone and VHF for almost two hours prior, no response. No one called and gave me information about which slip to go to, had to dock on a fuel dock. Update: Hingham Shipyard Marina returned docking fee in full.
Great location - nice choice of restaurants and some outdoor entertainment while we were there made for a great trip. The facilities are spotless!
Excellent service by dock master, assisted with tie up and introduction to marina with a welcome bag. Head and showers first rate, tons of stores and restaurants within the marina itself. Watch the charts and buoys carefully on the way in, lots of turns, narrow, but plenty water. Mind the ferries going in and out.
Very well appointed floating concrete sacks. Very helpful staff. Clean facilities, showers, etc. lots of restaurants and provisioning options.
Great place to stay. Many stores and restaurants just up the ramp!
We recently stayed 2 nights at Hingham Shipyard and we liked it a lot. The concrete floating docks were in like-new condition, everything was spotless, the heads & showers were very nice, modern and clean, and the "pod" system to get onto each dock provides good security. There's no pool, which we knew going in, but what kept me from giving them 5 stars is that there was no dock staff that we ever saw. There wasn't much current running when we arrived (although there is a significant tidal current a times) and my wife was able to get off the boat easily enough to get some lines over, but if there had been a wind and/or current situation or if the docks had been lower to the water we would have had a problem. The launch driver stopped by as soon as we were secured and checked us in, gave us a goody bag, etc., but I was very surprised at the lack of dock assistance. That said, once we got settled we had a great weekend, with shops and restaurants within a couple of hundred yards of the marina.
The staff were very responsive and helpful; we showed up and there was a boat in the spot designated for our stay and the staff quickly came out, identified the boat, and switched us up to another slip. Facilities are modern with newer bathrooms and showers. There are good restaurants, grocery for provisioning, and a pharmacy; all within a short walking distance to the marina.
Short notice trip for the evening to Hingham. We booked with Carol over the phone. All very friendly and efficient. Assigned a T head for our 56ft Azimut. We arrived and called on Ch.9 for some help docking. The dockmaster arrived with a welcome bag of goodies and a key fob for the secure gate and helped us with lines. Dinner at the brewery that evening and brunch at Trident the following morning were both within 100 yrds of the boat. My other half found an exercise class before brunch and we stocked up at the local Whole Foods type super market and Trader Joes. An exceptional experience with great facilities, easy access and terrific service. Met some regulars on the dock who gave us some drinks then helped us with our lines the next morning. We will be back.
Very unfriendly marina and disorganized. We were absolutely made to "check-in" at the gas dock before we were told our slip assignment. This meant picking a side to put out the lines and fenders on. Of course after we docked and received our assignment, we were then told our slip required the lines and fenders to be on the other side. We were assigned the work dock, which had old wood docks with nail heads sticking out ( ouch on the toes). Their was insufficient power available on this work dock, even though we told them our needs beforehand, including the day before when we received a call from the marina confirming our arrival. The work dock did not have any lockable gate, which apparently was the main reason to check in at the gas dock beforehand to get a "gate key fob". When we complained to the dockmaster, he said that they usually don't have transient slips and that we were lucky to get a spot. This left me thinking that this marina is somewhat confused and very unfriendly. Luckily the surrounding area ( a former shipyard turned into restaurants and shopping) was nice. I would not stay at this marina again.
