Claim this MarinaThe Port of Friday Harbor Marina provides year-round shelter for recreation and fishing boats in the center of the most beautiful cruising waters of the West Coast. The marina is located in the town of Friday Harbor, and boaters have easy access to supplies and services including food markets, restaurants, hardware stores, laundry, lodging, chandleries, art galleries and theaters. Services available at the marina include free WiFi, a Shell Fuel Pier, potable water, on-site laundromat, restrooms & quarter-operated showers plus vessel sewage pump-out options (stationary unit, portable unit and a pump-out boat).
The marina was originally constructed in the early 1970’s, and has grown over the years to 500 slips, with 100 available for overnight visitors. In the summer season, reservations can be made for visiting boats. Larger boats can tie alongside the floating concrete breakwaters.
Scheduled seaplane service connects the marina to Seattle’s Lake Union, making a quick connection for crew and owners to meet their boats in Friday Harbor. In the summer, passenger ferry services offer trips between San Juan Island and Seattle, Port Townsend and Bellingham.
Always a great getaway. Great moorage, helpful staff, and the seafood shack seals the deal for us. Only drawback was they seemed a little short staffed, so getting someone on the vhf or dock stations was tricky...I assume this is due to covid cutbacks or end of the season. Highly recommend for anyone and everyone. Great restaurants and not unreasonably expensive
Great marina. If you need to check customs, do it here instead of Roche. The custom agents here are always friendly and great representatives of the US. The ones at Roche would prefer to hassle you as much as possible. Everytime!
Great location, and the moorage is run very efficiently.
We love our stay here, must days it's easy to get a slip, on crowed days the staff is very helpful in finding a slip even if they put you on a waiting list. Easy customs dock, great place to get provisions, Kings market will deliver your provisions to the marina. Don't forget to ask at check in about their "stay 4 nights get 1 free".
Love this spot. Only downside was the robo email at 5:00 am asking how my stay was. I’m on vacation. How about setting the spam emails to a bit later in the day.
This is a friendly, well-run marina with plenty of room even during busy times. The radio operator sits out on the breakwater in summer and keeps on top of everything. Fuel is reasonable, pumpouts are free, and temporary tie-up on the breakwater is free. There are many restaurants, shops, an aquarium, a museum, and other amenities a very short walk from the marina. Minus one star for some rickety dock fingers. Great destination, good fun, and a good night's sleep.
