We chose Pope’s Island Marina because I have a sprained ankle and it listed floating docks. When we arrived, we were docked at high fixed pier, with a ladder that was not accessible from our boat. When I asked about a floating dock, I was told that “ you are too long for our floating docks”. (60 loa ). We ended up using launch service from our swim platform. Since they knew our length before we arrived, it would have been helpful to have a heads up. My injury, which I managed at the previous Marina with floating docks, made quick trips ashore to shower , etc impossible.
