Report Review

We told the Dockmaster we. We're inexperienced with currents when he gave us instructions for coming into the Marina and had advised there were strong currents. He proceeded to direct us to a slip and sent a young man to the dock to meet us. The current grabbed us and pushed us into two other boats causing damage to our boat. I begged the dockhand to help us or to find someone who could and he responded there wasn't anyone who could help. Apparently, he was only there, waiting to catch a line. Two. Others came over and advised us to stop and wait for slack tide and then move the boat. We hired a resident boater to move our boat to a face dock. Hmm. If a face dock had been offered in the beginning this whole thing would have been avoided! Later heard this Marina has a reputation of being called "Crash"! The resident boater said he helps others 2-3 times a week who have the same experience. Good to know--too late!
