Cambridge Yacht Club is located in the scenic historic district of Cambridge, MD and is the Eastern Shore's premier destination for boating, fine dining, and memorable special events.
Cambridge Yacht Club offers award-winning cuisine served with panoramic views of the Choptank River. Enjoy cocktails and lite fare at the dockside gazebo, or warm up by the fire in our comfortable lounge.
The Choptank River has some of the best sailing on the Eastern Shore. Our marina has affordable deepwater slips for boats of all sizes, transient slips and locker room facilities. We have weekend cruises and raft-ups, Friday night races, and a vibrant Junior Sail Program.
Nice T-head on J Dock. The docks are well maintained, the power pedistal worked and the people are very friendly. Nice!
Great visit. Regatta staff and club personnel were great and very helpful. Hope to return next season.
Great hospitality and help from the CYC members to get into the slip on a very windy day. Nice location for exploring downtown Cambridge by foot.
Beautiful venue and very hospitable. Looking forward to staying there again. 3rd time there, I actually opted not to stay due to high winds from the NW. Ended up turning around and going to Oxford instead. Will be back again when not so windy.
Third year coming to CYC, easy experience every time. The tiki bar is a great low key option right at the foot of the pier and it's a pleasant walk downtown.
Wonderful hosts for our Maryland Yacht Club cruise. Outdoor gazebo bar was so much fun and dinner at the club was fantastic.
The facilities were very nice, but we had no advance information about our slip and no help docking.
Restaurant /bar is nice. Slips are very large and only have 50A/250V available - bring an adapter if using 30A/120V. No dock hands.
Nice marina. Dockside bar and a restaurant in the clubhouse. Fleet Captain Stokes Liles was great! Nice place to visit.
Great staff! Friendly and helpful. Great location. Lots of amenities and services. Thanks!
Wonderful location, quiet yet walking distance to the lighthouse and downtown Cambridge. I truly enjoyed my stay at CYC. The people at the yacht club were very friendly and the food in the restaurant was excellent.
Easy access. Clean and friendly helpful staff. Walking distance to downtown
Very friendly staff and a good meal in the dining room. The Rear Commodore even stopped by our table and chatted for a while, making us feel very welcomed.
My first time at the Club. Five boats in group. The ease of reservation, friendliness of staff, gracefulness thoughtfulness excellent. In particular Britney and Kevin. Each helped tremendously. If that is how they treat all, you are in great shape. Really everyone, including the staff at dinner. And the food/chef. We had we were welcomed to bring 14 people to dinner. All enjoyed the atmosphere, staff and food. Very impressed. If I lived closer, or to decide to do so would welcome an invitation to join.
We stayed overnight at the Cambridge Yacht Club on August 19, 2023 in slip K24. Overall, we had a nice experience, but have a few criticisms. This marina is a club, and has no dock staff. The references and publications are up-front about this fact, so be prepared to guide and dock yourself - not a big deal deal. The docks and pilings are worn and, in some spots, in need of replacement. There are no lines available for transients, so bring your own. There are few, if any, cleats, so be prepared to lasso tall pilings, and tie up creatively. The people (members) are friendly and accommodating (though a few were surprised that we were "transients"). We dined at the club restaurant which was very good, with excellent service. The bathroom and shower facilities were also very good. If you wish to have meals other than dinner at the yacht club, be prepared to walk 20 minutes into the center of town, where there are bar and restaurant choices - pretty walk. The marina is well protected from waves, but not from westerly winds.
Great private yacht club. Friendly and helpful marina patrons, and excellent restaurant and dockside grill. Bathrooms and showers perfect
Everyone was extremely friendly. Nice facilities, enjoyed the outset bar and had a delicious meal in the yacht club restaurant
To be honest ... peasantly surprised. Received an email from the Fleet Captain prior to our arrival outlining our berthing/slip assignment, bathroom code, wifi password, restaurant hours, and what to expect/not expect. Do not expect dock hands to help you dock or undock. Do not expect VHF comms as you make your approach. Knowing these things upfront was very helpful, so we knew the "situation" going in. We choose not to eat at the restaurant (our own choosing), but it seemed active and busy while we were there. A huge plus about this yacht club (other than it accepts transients) is that it is only a 10-15 minute walk into the heart of town. So why only 4 stars? The docks are fixed and old. Many planks need replacement, and portions of the dock are slip hazards when wet. Also, although adequate, the showers could use a upgrade. And yes, if in the area again, i would definitely request a slip at the Cambridge Yacht Club.
Super nice , clean , friendly . Club is Closed on Monday & Tuesday. No dock hands . ( they tell you that before hand , so it’s all good.) cute town , most things closed on Monday/Tuesday. Can’t wait to return .
The yacht basin is a very nice and secure place to leave your boat. The facilities at the yacht club are clean and nice and all of the staff was very friendly. Nice walk down historic High Street for the Cambridge business district.
We had a very pleasant 2 night stay at CYC. They have nice facilities, couteous staff and a great view of 4th of July fireworks.
We were there 5, 6 July. Nice facility. We had the T head so it was easy docking. Restaurant was great. We heard lots about the 4th of July party so not sure why there was a post about it being closed. Easy walk into town. Our dock contact was super helpful, got info about how to get a mechanic, places to eat, etc. Would go back again for sure! Cheap ICE!! Fill your bilge when you come.
No pool, which is a shame because otherwise location is good. Dated bathrooms but clean. No staff to help with docking. No bikes. So, nice spot but amenities not as good as other places. Also, restaurant not open even though July 4 holiday weekend.
Very nice. We caught the fireworks and the Club BBQ dinner. Facilities are much better than the municipal marina. Folks are great.
Great location, and nice amenities. Even got help with dock lines during a storm from a nice neighbor when I was out to dinner!
Cambridge Yacht Club is a great place to tie up for the night. Captain Diaz was extremely helpful and gave great recommendations for food and drinks in Cambridge. The facilities are clean and well managed.
Very nice staff and members. Very clean facilities and the food at the restaurant was delicious! Great views from the marina and restaurant/yacht club. Easy walk into town
Nice facility and the staff was good to deal with.
The marina was welcoming and very concerned that our group was safe and well situated in a storm. Great place.
We enjoy this quiet little marina. It's a great fall and spring destination when you can walk the town in cool temps. There's no pool so it's more of a "sweater weather" destination. We ordered food from the CYC which was tasty and reasonably priced. They delivered our order to our boat so fast that we thought they were bringing someone else's order!
A great YC and very friendly. The facilities were more than adequate. We were a visiting YC on a group cruise. The dinner that they prepared for us was outstanding. George Donohue, Flt. Capt. Chesapeake YC
Great place to stop. Still early in their season so plenty of open slips. Facilities were clean and restaurant nice.
Beautiful site, great restaurant and bar staff. And then there's the view!!
Great communication prior to arriving. Very good experience.
a great place to be when in the market for a nice yacht club
Everything was great, except they gave us the wrong code for the bathroom. Luckily there was another boater right there that gave us the correct code.
Great facility. Large slips. Nice bathroom/ showers. Great dinner at the Cambridge Yacht Club and cocktails in the Gazebo.
A charming and friendly weekend at Cambridge Yacht Club. Great hospitality, excellent food, and easy access to the historic town and Harriet Tubman sites. Fairly large tide change for an up-river location, so be conscious tying up.
Great facility, good food, nice people. Love CYC. A bit of current at docks on Friday but fine OverAll.
Our stays at CYC are always supurp. Great hospitality.
Everything was made very easy! Loved our T head space. We will be back!!
Great place for a weekend visit. Friendly folks at CYC and some great shops and eateries a short walk into town.
A squirrel fried itself on a transformer which shut down the marina electrical. The YC Commodore happened to be walking the facility and got on the phone as soon as she heard about the problem. The utility got power restored in about an hour. Nice clean bathhouse. Very convenient to walking the town.
Nice marina. Handy showers and rest rooms. It was about a half mile walk to the town. Good restaurants. Enjoyed our stay.
This was a return trip for us, our prior trip having been in 2019. First the pros. The location is very good, a 20 minute walk to the center of old town where there are restaurants, gift shops, 2 wine bars, and a micro brewery. Friendly staff, nice indoor bar and restaurant. We had a delicious dinner there Friday evening. Now the negatives. The decking on the piers needs repair or preferably complete replacement. On the way to and from our boat we encountered several warped deck boards that present a tripping hazard. The electric system also needs work - the first power pedestal I connected to didn't work and I had to move to one on the other side of the dock. That meant that my 50A power cord was laying across the walkway, which was a bit of hazard for boaters at the other end of the dock. Finally, although there was free WiFi in the clubhouse, it was non-existent in boat slips. That is simply not acceptable in the year 2021.
Great facility at a good price. Cambridge is an easy walk. Lots of good food in town and the CYC dinner and drinks were very good also.
Cambridge YC was very nice. Facilities were clean and easy to deal with. People at the club were very friendly and accommodating. Wed night was especially good with sailboat races and hamburgers and beer a the Tiki Bar. Can't wait to go back. Capt. Gary
Basically no service, yet full service price. No dockhands. No hot water in restrooms, no paper towels. Docks are filthy with bird excrement.
Although I had a small accident right after arriving after I got out of the hospital I was still able to have a great time. I really appreciate the manager checkong on me. This marina is awesome and the restaurant food delivery to the boat was the best. Definitely going back.
We had a wonderful stay. The members are friendly. The staff is attentive. The facilities are immaculate. I highly recommend this marina. We will be nack again.
Our stay was comfortable, but otherwise unremarkable. The head/shower were adequate, tho no more than that.
Overall a nice facility with friendly dock staff. Convenient to town. The RAR brewery has good beer and crab cakes. Dock boards could use replacing and that is why I gave it 4 stars.
Great people. Met friends there and had dinner delivered to our boat. Very good food. We needed a few supplies and one of the members offered to drive me to the store. So very kind. Very nice and easy walk into town the following morning before departure to a nice bakery. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars is no pool and no system for dock hands to help upon arrival. No monitoring of VHF 9/16 and voice mail when called. A member did come and help out ... which we really appreciated.
