The day we were scheduled to leave, there were small craft warnings and 7 to 10 foot seas on the lake. I tried to extend our stay due to the conditions. They said they had a big boat show with many boats arriving, and I would have to leave. They did not take the time to see if the other boats were still coming in. I said that the boats coming in would not travel in those conditions, but the response was the same. We found last minute accommodations at Bay Marine, who understood our situation. By the way, none of the boats showed up at CenterPointe as I suggested would happen. I would not recommend a marina who places more value on their boat show, than on the safety of their transient boating customers. I can however, highly recommend Bay Marine, just across the channel.
