Report Review
Great floating docks. Great location! For the experienced only docking! Strong currents make it challenging docking vessels on the opposite sides of the slips and will certainly push your vessel into the two adjacent pilings potentially causing damage to your boat. If on lower tides, you'll certainly incur damage as a result due to the unkept pilings with sea growth protruding out (barnacles and large oyster type shells). Unfortunately, when I arrived a boat was in my slip (likely due to strong currents) and I was forced to dock in another slip finding myself fighting the strong currents and being pushed into the adjacent pilings. As a result, I incurred damage with deep scaring scratches from the protruding sea growth from the pilings. My son also incurred scratches to his legs from the barnacles on the floating dock side piling while trying to manage ropes (during low tide).
PROS: Great location and floating docks!
CONS: No apparent management/enforcement of boats docking in unassigned/reserved slips.
- Experienced only captains docking during strong currents.
-Strong currents. Not for solo docking!
-Unkept pilings (sea growth not cleaned off)
Will use this location again, however will exercise more caution when docking and using the slips during strong currents and lower tides.
