We stayed one night on our way north. The current at this dock is very strong, even at slack current. The dock master is the only employee and is very nice and helpful. If you need assistance getting docked, make sure to call ahead with an ETA so he can be on hand. There are some sail boats anchored right across from these slips, but there was plenty of room for us to swing our 48' boat around to back into the slip. Plenty of restaurants to choose from a short walk away. Walmart is also available for grocery delivery if you need to provision.
