Octane: 90;Boatman’s Mangrove Marina is located at 200 Florida Avenue Tavernier, Florida. It is a well-positioned facility situated at Mile Marker 92 on the gulf side. The marina is the largest full service marina in the upper keys and consists of wet slips, dry rack slips, boat ramp, boat launch, fueling facilities, ships store, parts and service bays, laundry, bath house, and working yard.
This property is attractive for live-aboard boaters. Off the busy highway and Intracoastal, the marina is quiet and enjoys sunset views. Truly a hidden paradise in the upper Keys.
This area is also considered a “hurricane hole” because it is sheltered from hurricanes. The hearty mangrove trees surrounding the marina protect but also provide a quite environment for the live aboard tenants.
Full service marina offering live aboard and transient dock slips. We also offer houseboat rentals for a unique "on the water" vacation.
Many issues with the lift being broken, the boat sitting in the water too long staining the bottom, the forklifts are old and have scratched and stained the hull with large scuff marks every time they lift it. Also found the boat three times with the plug inside and retaining water inside the hull as they did not remove the plug, although they say they do. The boat was sitting on wood bunks when it should have either rubber or carpet between the hull and the bunk and I had to make many phone calls even to the owner for that to get corrected. They couldn’t get the boat level. It was always on a slant, so the water would accumulate on the port side of the boat. They attempted to level the ground or level the bunk stands, but they never could get it right. They lack attention to detail and typically have to wait if you call the same morning and sometimes the day before to get your boat in the water at a reasonable time. Overall not a good experience for me.
I’ve had my boat there for two years. Haven’t had any problems any issues on my boat the people they are very friendly, hard-working individuals that treat you with respect the Marina is very safe very well lit and cameras everywhere.
Nice people, marina just a little tight for launching boats.
Had a decent experience at the marina. We were lucky to get a week there in the keys and appreciate them accomodating us. Nice pool and outdoor showers. Friendly staff. But no laundry which was challenging as had to go to the nearest laundromat which is almost 2 miles away. And bathhouse was under construction we think. Close walking distance to grocery store and nearby pickup range for free local transportation. We had to fill out a bunch of paperwork when making our reservation and wish we had the option to submit it through an online portal versus filling out a PDF and through email.
Booking a week in advance and indicating our needs -long finger pier due to mid vessel exit and a dog - and leaving phone to call if a delay in the people leaving the dock they sent us a pic of and we OK - we arrive to be assigned a horrible slip - when questioned they said the people in our promised slip would not leave. Slip we had we could not even get off vessel - finger was 10' long and 16" wide -wife almost fell in trying to get off so she never did - I finally got off and dog with a ramp - person never left our assigned slip the next day either - we left the following morning - asked for compensation due to not getting what promised - answer " you had a slip - your problem if you cannot get off boat"
Marina is so so. Fuel service took an inordinately long time.
