Well protected, Old school marina with non floating docks and pier toe-ups. Have you lines with bowlines tied ready to make it easier to position the boat properly. Folks we kind enough to help handle lines. It takes some agility to exit the boat from the bow or stern with the small 8’ finger docks. The marina itself well kept and the new proprietors are making improvements daily. There is a small pool and room for pets to relieve themselves. A short walk up the hill is a small park for pet walking. The bathrooms have been remodeled and are well kept. This is a washer and dryer available $2.50 for a wash and dry. The clubhouse sports a rooftop bar opened Friday and Saturday late afternoon and night. Good selection of wine, booze and beers with tasty burgers and signature crab cakes. Locals were very kind and welcoming. There is a small gormet style market with good selection. Prices were a bit high but the convienience makes it worth it. Good selection of local produce, ice cream, wines and beers also. There is a deli with lunch sandwiches to be had also. During the high season, they bring in bands and they seem to have a good time. There is no fuel but I understand there are marinas nearby that sell gas and diesel. There is no Lyft or uber but folks seem willing to help a cruiser with a ride. West Marine is 1&1/2 hr ride but there is a local sporting goods store that offers quality marine supplies(RW’s sporting goods in Callou). This marina is not for everyone, but if you like a quiet, very protected marina this may be for you. It’s not a safe harbor marina so keep your expectations in check and you may find this place just fine.
