We love the Bluff dock in Chattanooga. Great location for sightseeing and close to wonderful restaurants.
The staff is great to work with especially due to our numerous changes in schedule. We appreciated them working with us.
The negative is the bridge traffic noise (but you get used to it) and there are some homeless people on the eastern walkway. We've had no trouble with either.
The other major problem is the wake from very rude boaters. We are very surprised they haven't posted no wake zones. Not only were we slammed into the docks, the damage to the Walnut and Market Street bridges will be an issue. Boaters need to respect these structures and the vessels on the dock. We had wakes hit the dock so hard that the splash went all the way across to the other side of the dock. We didn't see this during our stay in 2020 so it appears to be a newer issue.
