Report Review
I called and said I was looking for a mooring for the season. I told them I had a 35’ sailboat with a 6’ draft. They told me that they had the perfect spot for me. Well, as it turned out, every time the tide went out I was sitting in the mud! All the other boats facing one way and mine the other. When I was asked if I’d like to move to a different, deeper mooring I was told that it would be an additional $1,000! I was also advised that before December 1st, all boats must be out of the water and on the hard. However, they were “Full” and was advised to seek winter storage elsewhere. Also, not including my original payment of $2,200, there was a mandatory removal fee and bottom painting, by them, before any boat could go back in the water the following season. The people were rude, the turned their noses up at people who had mooring balls and used dinghies to get in and out. The staff ignored you, all but a couple of ladies in the office. The office manager was cold and acted as though it was an imposition if you entered the office to ask a question. All in all, it was just myself ever time I went to my boat. There was very little small talk, usually with a couple older ladies about the weather. No camaraderie, no clubhouse, no “YACHT CLUB “ feel to the place. Please, do yourself a favor and avoid all the unprofessionalism and isolation. There are plenty of other excellent marinas in the area with a lot more amenities for less money. I have moved to one of them and my experience has been wonderful. Thank you and happy sailing.
