High Speed Fuel Dock & Marina located only two miles from the St. John's River inlet and two miles from the Intracoastal Waterway. Our transient/fueling location is the perfect stop for a quick refuel or overnight stay. Along with the best diesel prices in North Florida, we offer after hours fueling, and discounts on fuel sales exceeding 1000 gallons.
ATTENTION: We cater to volume after-hours fuel needs. Please call Andrew at (904) 568-8685 to schedule an after hours fuel sale.
Come in and see us as we look forward to catering to your fuel and overnight transient needs.
We ended up staying here for over a week due to prop issues. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a strong current and container ships traverse the waterway frequently. The marina is next to the St. John's River Ferry which kicks up a pretty good wake when the tide is outgoing. However, the ferry is fun to ride and only $1 for pedestrians. It runs on the half hour and will take you across the river to a couple of nice restaurants. Singleton's Seafood Shack is right up the road from the marina too. At the marina, it is important to know that the bathroom facilities are only available during hours that the marina is open. If you don't mind getting rocked, this isn't a bad place to stay. We would stay here again.
This is a dangerous transient dock. Wake damage is likely due to commercial shipping and large fishing boat wakes close to the pier. We reserved a slip but were forced to tie up to the fuel dock with NO protection from destructive wakes. Had the owners of another large boat not graciously provided another 3 fenders to augment our four fenders, our 37’ blue water sailboat would have been gravely damaged or sunk. NO ONE from the marina monitored or assisted in the protection or conditions of this boat. The personnel were either oblivious or intentionally negligent to the dangers to boats docked without barriers to the frequent shipping wakes. We we refused any interior slips that would have provided some modicum of protection. The marina charges the same as other full service marinas, however only have minimal services and does NOT provide shower or laundry. This is not clearly identified until you arrive. It was a significant error to dock here and unless your boat is immune to damage I would not recommend this as a transient slip.
Well located marina with good power. We were on the fuel dock which needs repairs to the rub rail. Very strong current so cleats need to be solid which they appear to be. Wakes from inconsiderate boaters can be problematic.
Very helpful staff, helped dock each time. It's right in the channel, one of the stays I was on the back side of the dock (good), the other time it was full, I was on the channel side, big wakes, bashing around the boat. Great staff, but I think I'll dock elsewhere in the future because of the location.
Great stay. Thank you
Great service and friendly people.
Three dockhands met us upon arrival -- for a totally flawless docking! We were a little disappointed with a lack of amenities--UNTIL-- they offered us unlimited use of the marina SUV! We were able to provision, get our laundry washed and folded (3 miles away) with same day service and visit the local Ace hardware. There is a fabulous seafood market and restaurant within walking distance. All and all it was a great experience!
This is an easy stop if you are coming in from the outside and want to get back into the ICW. We also wanted fuel, and the information page sings its praises about its high speed fuel pumps. Unfortunately, they have no fuel! The wave and current action getting in and out can be a bit hairy, so time accordingly. Also, the huge metal gas/diesel sign clanged horribly and the dock made a lot of banging noises - we were tied up on the inside of the (non-existent) fuel dock, so try not to be put there if you are going in. Very secure; otherwise, not much to offer and not much activity there. Very close to a military base which was running helicopter exercises while we were there, which, between the clanging of the gas/dock and the helicopters, made for a very noisy stay. Poor Hobie the cat was terrified!
Marina was very quite, not that is a bad thing. More geared up for motorboats and dry stack boat than sailing yacht. Sadly the dock had been damaged the week before, making it look quite ruin down. This also lead to no fuel service. No real amenities, not fully up to the morningstar standard I have seen in the past. However staff very helpful and friendly, and the store has some useful items in. It is also pretty secure marina, which is alway good.
Great over night with great restaurant next door.
This marina would have a 5 star rating if it had 24 hour bathroom facilities. When the ships store closes at 5:00 PM the bathroom is closed (because it's in the store). No showers, quite a lot of wave action at the docks. Staff is awesome and very friendly, close the a public boat ramp with free 24 hr parking which adds to the marina rating. (we are trailer sailers) Good overnight stop.
