Moment of Zen stayed on the transient dock at Gulfport Marina for two weeks in February 2022 and another two at the end of March. The well-protected marina is located off Boca Ciega Bay in charming Gulfport, a town within the famously charming city of St. Petersburg.
The marina itself, especially for transients, couldn't be more pleasant. The transient dock is long, wide, and floating, with easy approach and knowledgeable assistance on docking. If you have your car, there is a large parking area just outside the gate. The marina has all the usual amenities, including internet, laundry and very nice bath facilities.
Equally alluring is the opportunity of spending hours strolling along the town of Gulfport's shady, old-Florida low-traffic streets. It's small downtown area is a pleasant half-dozen blocks or so away, with uncommon restaurants and shops to further idle away the time.
