Report Review
This is an iconic stopover for yachts transiting the North Atlantic to Europe. You can anchor in the harbor, tie up at the wall, or try to obtain a pontoon berth.
The marina is in the center of the beautiful, historic township of Horta. Clearance services are available at the waterfront, restaurants and bars are plentiful, there are a couple of good small chandlers, and you can leave the boat to explore the island.
It gets crowded and boats can be three deep along the wall. There can be a fair amount of swell and your fenders will get a good workout.
