Harbormaster and support staff are excellent! Great location even if your not a fisherman (don’t expect any amenities). Menemsha Creek has VERY strong currents so time your approach and entry accordingly. (During our SpringTide visit we found the “calmest” water about :45 after high or low. There are moorings outside the basin; a few moorings for sailboats (only) in the basin; stern-in slips with bow-piling tie up immediately to your Port after you pass through the Creek entrance inside the breakwaters (at 15’ piling spacing a 14’ beam is a tight squeeze!). Be sure to have all your stern, spring and bow lines ready as there are prevailing SW winds in the area and the strong tidal flows will impact your docking maneuverability. Have have adequate fenders to protect you and your neighbors’ craft. You’ll have to use fender-boards for side tie-up on the Menemsha Creek bulkhead on the West side of the basin (Harbormaster has some available). There are a limited number of slips for larger craft on the North side of the basin with fixed dock, side-piling tie-up.
