About

Penn’s Landing Marina is a tranquil private marina, situated in the well-protected waters of Fat Hog’s Bay on the SE end of Tortola in the beautiful British Virgin Islands. We feature a range of yacht and boat services year round.

Penn’s Landing Marina is small by design – a naturally sheltered private marina in Fat Hog’s Bay on the south-east end of Tortola, one of the most scenic spots in the BVI. It consists of 12 slips and 25 moorings, shops and office, showers and heads, and a friendly bar and restaurant. Additionally, there is an ample, well-lit parking lot for the benefit of our customers. Our dinghy storage area provides a secure location to stow dinghies when they are not in use or when owners are not present.

All moorings were installed and are professionally maintained by MoorSeacure. They are positioned well up into the bay to avoid the risk of a beam on swell. The slips are all oriented on an east/west axis to take advantage of the prevailing winds to ventilate your boat. The small size of Penn’s Landing enables staff to get to know each customer on a personal level. In short, this is a small friendly marina conceived, developed and operated by boaters for boaters.

Both short and long-term mooring options are available and visiting yachts are welcome on a space available basis. We monitor VHF channel 16 or you can call the office at 284 495 1134 to make a reservation.

Approach

The approach is straightforward and well-marked. As you enter Fat Hogs Bay, pass mid channel between the large red rock formation on your starboard hand and the Bar Bay buoy on your port hand (both are lighted). Proceed on a north-westerly course for about 300 yards. The approach channel into East End Bay will open to the right. The buoy’s to the east of this channel are those of Penn’s Landing Marina and are professionally maintained by MoorSeacure. The dock at the north-east end of this channel is the Penn’s Landing dock and the dinghy landing is at the bulkhead to the left as you approach the dock from the bay.
