We stop at Essex every year and love the marina and staff including the village of Essex. This Fall we were delivering a boat from Annapolis, MD to Portland, CT. I told the boat owner we should stay at the marina allowing everyone some needed rest and long hot showers. I was very disappointed to learn there was no hot water because the propane delivery was delayed for several days. Had I known we would have anchored and saved the mooring fee.
