The BD Wharf is quaint and convenient. You’re able to watch the ferries come and go and in spite of the boat traffic it is quite peaceful. Small beach at foot of pier is nice but restaurant uses it for service so you wouldn’t spend the day there. If you don’t have a dingy or don’t rent a car to explore the island you’re limited to what you can do given the location. Facilities are small but clean. One dockhand very helpful and eager to please, the rest couldn’t be bothered. Limited restaurants leave you to eat at the Black Dog Tavern where the staff is unpleasant and food underwhelming. For the real estate that it is, BD could do and be so much more.
