Or stay at the black dog wharf was a mixed bag of great and horrible. First, the horrible part was that it was blowing fairly significantly out of the northeast, and we were at the dock in a slip with the boat granted parallel to the incoming waves. I’ve never experienced a worse nights sleep because our saber 48 was rocking port to starboard so severely. Even the Sabres next to us with sea keepers were rocking severely. Now for the good part. Everybody there was super friendly and it’s a beautiful little place to stay. Our meal at the black dog Tavern was absolutely scrumptious as was our breakfast at their bakery. If I had to do it again, I would rather have been out at a mooring in those conditions. Better yet, just don’t stay there when it’s blowing out of the northeast if you can help it.
