This is a large marina, just upstream of the Jamie Whitten Lock. The night we were there, there were about eight Looper boats tied up.
The floating docks had U shaped slips for individual boats. Most of the slips had posts with two 30 amp connections. The cleats were sturdy.
They have a separate building for boaters. It includes a laundry room, with a washer and dryer ($1 each) and nice bathrooms for men and women. The building contains a great party room with a bar, ping pong table, and a refrigerator. It’s a perfect indoor place for doctails.
The marina has a four seat courtesy car. We could not get it as it seemed as if one boat had it “reserved” for the afternoon and evening.
There is no nearby town. Supposedly, there is a Mexican restaurant about fifteen minutes away. Oct 2025
