Our local cruising club from Oriental has visited Dowry Creek annually for many years. This year, we had some concerns about the marina’s change in management after hearing reports that it was not meeting the standards of previous years. Our cruise planners worked closely with the current management team to learn more about the available services. The marina staff worked hard to get pool repaired and re-inspected. In the end, six boats from our club came to Dowry Creek Marina for a two-night stay. Our group had a wonderful time enjoying the pool, BBQ grills, and Captain’s Lounge. We used the courtesy car to pick up lunch from the local grocery store and hosted a spontaneous BBQ by the pool. The marina store is well stocked with basic supplies, beer, and wine. We will definitely plan to return to Dowry Creek Marina in the future.
