The Edgartown Harbormaster’s crew is top notch and thoroughly boater friendly. They offer free showers, a super convenient water barge and a wonderful pump out service provided by Assistant Harbormaster Mike, a friendly and welcoming presence for many years. All together, it makes Edgartown one of our favorite destinations. We’ll be back there aboard Grace every chance we get.
That said, I would add that the elimination of first come first served moorings is a deep disappointment. It discourages many of us from sailing here as reservations fill up. That combined with the prohibition against anchoring in Katama Bay makes it a port for the ultra wealthy, freezing out many of us average boaters.
