Suttons Bay Village Marina

The Harbormaster runs a very nice marina, with the help of a very good crew. Helped dock us without a request. The marina and grounds (for us) are well maintained. The only quark, the shower house is the same when I was a slip holder in 1978. However, SB Marina is in the process of building (from the renderings) a nice building. Also a nice perk, the Inland Seas Marine Education Campus is adjacent to the Marina. Nice job, Joe and Annelle

The marina is absolutely gorgeous, and having a beautiful beach right next to it is a huge plus. The staff here were wonderful and incredibly helpful during our visit. The only downside is that the public restrooms are located right next to the boaters' area. Because the lines get backed up, beachgoers waiting for the public facilities made rude comments about us cutting the line, even though there is a clear sign stating our area is for boaters only. While this isn’t the fault of the marina itself, it did take away a bit from the experience. Overall, it's still a lovely spot!

A nice harbor in a beautiful area with floating docks. It can be a little tricky docking in windy conditions, especially a sailboat with high freeboard since the finger docks do not have posts on them. I recommend asking the Harbormaster for assistance when docking or leaving in high winds, as the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Harbor staff was great and the town is great. The docks we stayed in are in poor shape with waist-high weeds growing in front and very old electrical power. We were told that they were going to redo this part of the marina next year.

Super friendly staff very easy

We loved exploring the village of Suttons Bay, but the marine facilities are sorely lacking. They are understaffed & the restrooms are archaic, with only one shower working in the women’s bathroom. Depending on which side of the marina your slip is in, the bathrooms are about a quarter mile hike.

Good marina, very convenient to town and BATA bus stop to Traverse City. A little bit of a walk to bathrooms. Muse touch having fresh flowers in bathroom😀

The staff is like family, facilities awesome, the village so beautiful. Only thing they couldn't control was the smoke from Canada. We made it through and had a great time.

The marina is handy to all shopping, restaurants and the TART trail. Great stop!

Adequate marina. Friendly staff. Exciting to hear that a new bathhouse is going to be built in 2026. Hopefully it is placed closer to the docks than the current boathouse.

Great marina! Easy access to town and a great swimming area right next to it.

The Town, Bay, proximity to Traverse City, the bike path, are all great, better than most locations. But the way you get stacked on the long docks is not very nice. We got an inside position and had to go between two boats to get in and out. It's not easy with anything bigger than a bowrider. It's tight. They have a master plan to redo the configuration, as of the summer of 2026, it's not done yet.

Great staff and wonderful town. Most of the transient slips are a fairly long distance from the bathroom and shower. But it is right out on the end of the point and it is beautiful. Staff will assist you onto the Doc. They respond very well to VHF. Shower and bathroom are modest but very clean. They will be getting new facility in 2027. I highly recommend this Marina

The assistance when docking was greatly appreciated, the staff was friendly, and the fresh flowers in the bathroom are always a pleasant welcoming!

Staff was very helpful. The dock is long. If you are out on the end it’s a bit of a walk to the boaters head and showers.

Love Suttons Bay, friendly and always a comfortable stay. Love that town is so walkable with wonderful shops and restaurants. Marina next to the park and beach is wonderful when there are kids on board.
