Exceptional! We’ve been sailing the coast from Portland to Rockland, and Safe Harbor Rockland is in a class all their own. All the amenities are as advertised. Very clean showers (fresh towels included!) and the complimentary laundry machines are in excellent condition. The docks themselves are like new with easy access to water hoses and shore power hookups. The facility is located at the end of a pleasant walking path along the harbor that leads into town (10 minute walk to great coffee, baked goods, dining, and shops). We also were able to utilize the courtesy vehicle for a trip to Hannaford for some groceries.
Best of all, is the service provided by the staff! Dockhands Lulu and Joe were waiting on the dock with Dockmaster Chris as we approached. They caught our lines for a smooth docking and provided warm greetings. They provided service from the start by offering and then hooking up ur vessel to shore power. Lulu provided us a written card with passcodes and WiFi access (their WiFi signal is excellent). We enjoyed our evening so much the we stayed an extra day. On a return sail from North Haven (highly recommend), we were a bit slow and had a 1900 arrival (closing time). I called the marina and dockhand Brady was there to catch our lines and hook up shore power. I can’t say enough how enjoyable our stay was due to the excellent staff!
We will definitely return and highly recommend SH if Rockland is one of your cruising destinations.
