About

Winter Island Yacht Yard is an owner-operated, dry storage, full-service repair facility with a full-time, year-round crew. Winter Island is also a Ranger Tug Dealer, serving Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont and Rhode Island. The boatyard was established in 1926 and has been owned by Peter and Diane Haywood since 1978.

Located in Historic Salem, Massachusetts, we are situated in the Salem Willows area of the city on Winter Island Road, just down the street from the former US Coast Guard Base. By sea, you will find us nestled in Juniper Cove, a beautiful, peaceful setting just north of the entrance to Salem Harbor. Our goal is quality work at an honest, competitive price. We uphold a strong Christian code of ethics, and serve our customers with integrity. We have a talented crew and work with a great network of specialized craftsmen.
