On Monday July 2nd, the rudder of our Jeanneau Fantasia broke while we were sailing close to Oyster Bay. Fortunately, we were able to motor to Oyster Bay Marine Center and dock there. I was able to remove the rudder to confirm it was cracked midway. Dylan and Anton from Oyster Bay Marine Center were quickly able to diagnose the issue (water had gotten in and weakened the structure) and to propose a repair strategy, which we agreed to. At the end of day Tuesday July 3rd, we got the rudder back. I installed it on Wednesday morning and we sailed out to our next destination. The service we received from the marina was excellent , the staff was very courteous and always ready to help. Special kudos to Dylan for helping us until the last minute and Anton for doing an excellent job on the eve of July 4th.
