Jason the Dockmaster was awesome. He fully briefed us navigation through the channel and all the way to our slip. He was responsive to follow up questions during our stay.

If it weren’t for a power surge from the power pedestal I’d give it a 5. Close to a lot of things Is right under the flight path to the airport so if you love watching plans land on a gorgeous night you’re in luck. We got used to it and very few in the evening. Dockmaster is very nice and responsive. Sadly we lost a few appliances and\nNow the on board vac system may have to be repaired as the surge took them all\nOut. Do I REALLY want to clean the carpet?

We had a great time at Sara Bay Marina. The slips are wide and the floating docks are a treat - making it easy to get the doggo on and off the boat regardless of the tide. The Laundry area is in building 3 of the hotel (about $1.50/load to wash and $2 to dry) and the showers are on the right in the breezeway just past the bar. The approach can feel tricky as the area is really shallow. Per the directions from the marina, hug the green buoys coming and and going out. We had a fun time using our dingy around the little channels nearby. Sunsets both nights were gorgeous. The restaurant is really good. We ate there every night and enjoyed fantastic grouper and drinks. The fish reuben is amazing.

The only thing that was annoying was having to track down someone to open the restrooms/showers even though it said they open at 7:30am. No one seemed to know who had a key: the restaurant? The hotel? The marina? In the end we ran into someone from the marina who dropped off a key. Also it’s located under a very active flight path during the day. Otherwise it was just fine.
