Safe Harbor Greenport is one of my “go to” marinas away from homeport, Safe Harbor Pilots Point Marina, Westbrook CT. I’ve been here several times and always enjoy my stay. It’s an easy half day sail across the LIS for me. This time I’m using it as my last layover on the way back on my 2 week Fall Cruise to Edgartown, MV. After 2 weeks on anchor and mooring it’s such a luxury to be tied up to a nice dock with shore power and a hot shower.
As always, dock manager Liam was most accommodating. I especially appreciated his prompt confirmation of a transient slip, made the morning of my arrival. I was in the Block Island Sound headed to Coecles Harbor, Shelter Island, but decided that full marina services would be nice. Dock crew, Tom, was waiting for me at my assigned slip (facemask on) and made tie-up very easy.
I’ll be back, next season.
