The docks are in great shape, but directions and maps into the marina could use improvement. Telling me our slip is "down the fairway" was not descriptive enough. Is that the fairway outside the marina, or the Fairway between Dock A and B or between B and C? The online map shows the docks, but no orientation to which way they run. Listing land and or creek on the map would be helpful. Also, slip numbers on the slips would be helpful and listing slip number range on the Dock A, Dock B and Dock C signs would help. May also suggest that dock staff train by going out in a small boat and following on shore directions exactly to see how their directions over the radio can be confusing. They were quick to get on dock to direct, but I like to have a heads up prior where we were going. Also, marina staff said they would send a map of our slip, never received it. My last training suggestion is to let dock staff know the places that boaters need to know about, where is the office, where can we pick up packages, where is the shower room, where is the laundry room. Did appreciate getting gate codes ahead of time, but no one pointed out where they were located. Monetary tips to dock staff were lost because of this, and office staff didn't offer this information either. Staff seem willing, but need more training and coaching. As said before, docks are nice, laundry, bathroom and showers are functional, but could use updating.
