Report Review
We spent about three weeks at Bohicket Marina on Johns Island aboard our Hunter 38 sailboat, and it was an outstanding experience from beginning to end.
The marina has an exceptional staff who were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout our entire stay. From the moment we arrived and were getting settled into our slip, they made the docking process easy and were always available when we needed assistance. They also helped coordinate shipping and deliveries, which made an extended stay aboard much more convenient. Even our departure was handled smoothly and professionally.
One of the things we enjoyed most was the atmosphere at the marina. The nightly live music was a wonderful bonus and made many evenings something to look forward to. After a day on the water, sitting back aboard the boat and listening to live music while watching the sun go down was hard to beat. The sunrises and sunsets over the surrounding waterways were absolutely beautiful and some of the best we have experienced during our cruising.
Bohicket Marina also provides a great home base for exploring Johns Island and the surrounding Lowcountry. The combination of a welcoming marina, helpful staff, beautiful scenery, and the relaxed atmosphere makes it an especially enjoyable stop for cruising sailors looking to stay for a few nights or several weeks.
After spending three weeks here, we would highly recommend Bohicket Marina to fellow boaters. If you're cruising the Charleston area and looking for a marina where you'll be treated well and actually enjoy spending time at the dock, Bohicket Marina is definitely worth putting on your list.
