PLEASE NOTE...........
Sebasco Harbor Resort is excited to share that we will once again offer LAUNCH SERVICE IN 2024!
Our first year, 2022 was great. This year, not so great. There is no launch, no water at the dock, and no ice. An attendant appears on an irregular schedule, making it difficult to get fuel. Our mooring assignment thru Dockwa was not acceptable but the staff was not willing to change the assignment -- even though there are at least a dozen empty moorings. Very disappointing. Update: thanks to two very special dock attendants, Chris and Bjorn, the season ended on a much better note.
This is such a nice place and have always enjoyed it. Unfortunately, new resort resort owners, Giri Hotel group, have decided to turn their back on the boating community by stopping launch services to the resort. It was difficult to get in the limited dock space to drop off guests so the captain could moor the boat and row in.
nice place. I wish they would bring back launch service.
Wonderful small harbor. Nice Ledges Pub for good food. Cons: Insufficient staff to respond on VHF, harbor is rolly if any sort of sea running.
Harbor has a lot of roll even with otherwise calm conditions. Food at the resort is expensive but pretty good.
Great harbor. Often rolly, very calm this am. Did not answer channel 09, so entry level as confusing. Another boater with our group responded and said to pick up any red mooring. They also could not get anyone on 09. We notified the rest of our sailing club boats. Lack of launch service was an issue for us, but other club members took us ashore. The reservations desk for the resort lodging is as very helpful. He assured us they had enough moorings for our Dockwa group. The pub restaurant was as very accommodating. Delicious food. Overall experience of a as very good, just understaffed with one dock hand.
Excellent place to stay the evening on a mooring. And friendly people.
Like many businesses, that are short of staff. Luke warm hot water at best in shower.
We enjoyed the pool but were disappointed that the restaurant was not open.
If it weren't for your dockhand it would be zero stars, having no tender service and having to bring my family back and forth on a kayak is wayyyy less than desirable
I’ve visited Sebasco Resort by boat over the past 46 years and it is indeed a very special place. I was disappointed this year however, due to a lack of launch service . . . for the very first time ever! In recent years we’ve stayed ashore and dined at their restaurants. Boaters DO add to Sebasco’s revenue, so I’m hoping they will reinstate this valuable service.
No one e answered the radio. There is no staff. The Anchorage is rolly.
A quintessential Maine spot with an activity for everyone. Don’t skip on the free breakfast!
Great Harbor. Great views. Friendly people. Fun tennis Pickleball golf
Moorings were in disrepair, no services at the dock. Place feels like it is on a downward slide
Excellent, enjoyed stay. Wish there were shower option at the resort.
Nice harbor. Enjoyed wonderful dinner at the pub.
Very pretty harbor but no one manning the Waterfront. Tried to call for a mooring number but no response by phone or VHF so we just picked one up. Otherwise nice facilities with the pool, arcade and walking.
The clerk said they don't have showers for boaters. I argued, and he finally let me use the shower. The dock boy, however, was pleasant and helpful.
Sebasco has changed and not for the better. It took two days for Sebasco to acknowledge our pending reservation through Dockwa in spite of Dockwa’s repeated attempts to get them to confirm. There is no launch service this year which means the dinghy dock is very crowded and people without dinghies can’t get ashore (not a problem for us). The Ledges Pup is closed Monday and Tuesday so there is no food on site. There is no Sunday brunch either. We hope these are just growing pains for the new owners.
Mooring was great. No launch service and diner offerings were limited
Awesome as always! No launch service this summer but no mooring is very far
Sebasco Harbor Resort has some nice amenities but they are also not the same place they use to be. There is a nice salt water pool to swim in (closes I believe at 6p) and to find a shower is somewhat a chore, but if you look for the fitness center, there are showers there. Restaurant/Bar is only open certain days of the week so you better check their website for days open. I paid for my mooring on Dockwa and when I came into the harbor I grabbed a red mooring, then let the dock hand know what mooring I was on via VHF radio. Before they had a shuttle service to and from your boat but that's gone, which is disappointing, especially if you don't have a motor on your dinghy. Supposedly after 7/24 they will have fuel, but would double check it is up and running. Happy sailing and motoring.
Dock hand was extremely helpful and courteous, we loved talking to him, Giri corp and new managers really need to step it up and get the launch going, so much lost revenue without the launch
No pump out, no launch, no diesel, overall services much diminished from other years. The harbor and moorings have always been an afterthought for the resort, but now boaters are barely on their adar. The showers are not kept up, broken door, no AC, windows not openable so very humid and unpleasant place to take a shower, "health club" building with showers is not attended. Restaurant was pleasant. Food spicy. No more large dining room upstairs, just bar and outside seating.
The poor dock hands hadn’t been trained. Mooring assignment was unavailable. Restaurant unexpectedly closed just as we were heading in for dinner. Apparently with the new ownership there are some gaps , or should I say “gapping holes” in the functionality of services. They are trying but need to up their game to make it as nice , and reliable,,as it used to be. Also no launch service anymore 🤔. Be careful!
Years of family ownership has been replaced by giri corp with many changes. Nice new pool for example . The waterfront is currently neglected, no ice or launch service, so you must have a dingy to reach shore. A great place for kids. The restaurant has a fairly limited menu and somewhat varied hours.
They have abandoned their waterfront except for mooring balls. No water available no pump outs no more tender service. Not sure why anyone would pay to stay on their moorings. Bar has sketchy hours breakfast was below avg. people were very friendly and helpful tho.
Sebasco Harbor Resort has long been a favorite place to moor. This year (June 2923) differed. The mooring was fine and comfortable, but there was no launch service, the dock had no attendent, the main desk did not help, and they never sent (via Dockwa) the mooring number. We grabbed what we wanted and were fortunate that there were ample moorings. Others reported the same. This can be a geeat place to have a meal, swim in a huge salt water pool (closed this year), shower, and take a walk. Bring a dingy if you want to go ashore. Hope that the water services return to normal in 2024.
A nice place. No staff to direct us to our rented mooring, but found a good one without criticism. Able to re-water with jerry-jugs. Would be delighted to rent a mooring again!
We had delish apps and drinks. the pool was lovely. the bugs were terrible.
Been cruising there for 40 years. Always a great experience!
Very rolly anchorage, little protection from ocean swell ., Resort mostly closed.. pool was nice but full of children so not advised for adults. Casual restaurant was very good with quality food, rare for Maine. Staff ok, but not overlly helpfull.
Great launch driver, Zoe. Wished it ran longer. Very good golf course. Buffet breakfast was mostly over cooked and barely warm. Food and drink were otherwise great. Loved the pool too!
Great stay, nice pool, friendly and helpful staff, and a bartender who makes a great rob roy
The whole team was great. Restaurant was great and the staff led by Sarah was fantastic. New tennis court surface played great. Keep up the good work.
We got a mooring. $69 was a little high, and it was rolly but it was well marked and in good condition. We didn’t know there was a launch, found out after we dinghied in. The services are good, launch, pump out, gas (no diesel) and the restaurant was good. Would be 5 stars if they sent out info in advance that there was a launch and other things, like other marinas do. Overall very good.
The resort is much improved with excellent launch facilities, Great service for lunch and very good menu and quality. The pool is new and so much better. With a South wind the mooring field can be rolly but the resort itself is now terrific.
Great stay at Sebasco: golf, food and Phil and the team make the waterfront seamless from launch to block ice. Thank you
No hot water in fitness center shower. Launch service spotty. I realize it’s the end of the season but expected at least the basics.
Nice spot, easy, convenient. Camp coffee shop had espresso going early. Launch had limited hours and the dinghy dock was full but we squeezed in. The pub was open but not the higher end restaurant. Pandemic labor shortages hit here as well.
Great staff, great location. Definitely worth a stop!
Boat launch staff was wonderful most accommodating and nice people I ever met. Zoe was the tender for most of our stay and she is the best I ever seen
Sebasco Harbor is one of the best resorts on the coast of Maine and a perfect spot to pick up a mooring! The Smith family has long provided not only a beautiful resort, but all staff are more than welcoming and accomodating. Our family, (the Tim Hussey family) has enjoyed both pleasure and business activities at Sebasco and have never left disappointed. Thank you to the Smith family for providing us with such a treat and congratulations on over 90 years of success!
We got good directions to our mooring by calling on Channel 09. The launch service was prompt when we requested it. We spent a little time ashore exploring the resort but the weather didn’t support using any outdoor facilities. There was only one restaurant open - probably due to COVID-related staffing issues. The food in the open Pub was very good.
Beautiful Location, Absolutely gorgeous! The place is old and therefore has a little charm. If you like the dirty dancing movie this may be your place. We will definitely be back !
Great setting, well protected and friendly and helpful welcome.
Nice morning and good showers. Only downside is the noisy restaurant fan and the stinkpots running their generators all night. Who comes to Maine to listen to that?
Great launch service, great weather and calm waters. We had a fantastic time.
