Report Review

The Marblehead Harbormaster put us on a mooring that was in a poor location. It was right out at the end of the harbor beside the channel where all power boats were creating wakes, and swell from the ocean was entering the harbor. Our crew could not sleep on this mooring. We requested to be moved to another mooring, but were told that our boat was too big for the other mooring. This was strange because a near identical boat was on these other moorings. We cancelled 2 out of 3 nights of our mooring booking and were told that no refund could be offered. Disappointing, considering the mooring we were provided was unacceptable even to ocean going sailors. Unfriendly interactions were had with the staff at the Harbormaster's office. The friendly staff at the Boston Yacht Club was very happy to help us.
