Report Review

After 11 days of cruising around the BVI, we made a booking via Dockwa for a mooring ball at Peter Island Resort & Yacht Harbour to spend our last night before cruising across Sir Francis Drake channel to Nanny Cay Marina to return our chartered boat. Upon entry into Sprat Bay, we were directed to tie off perpendicular to the fuel dock to take on our requested fresh water. Dockhand, Wayne, expertly tied us off - including a spring to help counter the 15kts wind blowing at the time. Fresh water hose was immediately provided. During the course of taking on 120 gallons, Harbour Master, Ed Lindsey, stopped by to welcome us to the resort. The conversation turned to where we'd visited from and how our bare-boat charter this trip to the BVI had been. During the course of the discussion, Ed offered us the opportunity to stay tied up at the dock rather than heading back out into the wind to pick up our mooring ball that was assigned in Deadman's Bay. We graciously accepted! Dinner and drinks at The Drunken Pelican Restaurant included outstanding service and high quality food. Don't miss the Grilled Octopus with black bean salsa main! For those of us who have been traveling to the BVI over the past ~30 years or so, and in particular, for those who haven't been back since the 2017 hurricane, I can't say enough good about the rebuilt facilities at Peter Island Resort & Yacht Harbour - most importantly the welcoming and friendly staff we met everywhere we went. I highly recommend adding this to your itinerary for your next trip to the BVI!
