We stayed at SHYC twice on our way to and from Martha’s Vineyard. The dock was easy to access and well maintained. It was a perfect place for us from a convenience perspective.
The clubhouse was a short walk from the dock, which was fine with us. The clubhouse is very new and the shower facilities were top notch. Really great.
The restaurant and bar were welcoming, and the food was good. The service was a little slow, but that was ok with us.
The dock is a few block walk to Stonington, which was a terrific little town.
We had a great time and will definitely be back.
Update for 2020: the staff helping on the dock were courteous but were not really dock staff. It was ok as we could handle the docking ourselves, but do not expect a pro dock staff this year. Seems like they are doing their best in the tough COVID-19 summer
