Report Review
I like the location and there is plenty to do in and around the immediate area. Proximity to restaurants is an added plus.
Moss Marina itself is in need of some work, but physically and from an administration/management perspective. We had a group of about 10 boats in our fleet, so we had the opportunity to see a lot of amenity and management issues.
One of our party got jerked around on their slip. Not available when promised (had to spend the night on the hook) and then still not available at the scheduled time the next day. They received a minor accommodation in the form of a "diesel credit" for some very high priced fuel.
I appreciate that the facility is still being rebuilt after the hurricane(s).. but if you can't accommodate a boat don't reserve a berth and take full payment. The "T" is a mess. The bundled pilings make it impossible to get close enough to the actual pier without using a makeshift supplied "plank" which is unstable and unsafe. There is no fresh water service on the "T"... nor do the pedestals function properly. This means a long hose down the pier to a functional faucet... and a collection of "boater supplied" 50A extension cords to run down the pier to outlets that have been (temporarily?) installed at a large breaker panel.
Overall a "meh" experience. Probably won't stay there again.
