Report Review

I was a transient slip guest at the Safe Harbor Stingray Point in Deltaville, VA. The marina staff were very helpful and conscientious on and off the dock. When I arrived, they were there to greet me and and my pet and to confirm my satisfaction of the slip assigned to me and assisted me in tying up the boat. Once there the facility grounds were explained indicating the location of the pool, laundry, bathroom, showers and common social room. The off dock facilities were in excellent condition haven been recently updated. While at the marina, notwithstanding 48 hours of up to 50 mph winds and rain from Hurricaine Ian, the fixed docks and electric remained safe and accessible and the staff made available a marina vehicle so that I could purchase provisions, equipment an attend to an unexpected medical needs. As mentioned earlier, the boat slip docks were fixed in height. However, the length of the finger docks were were shorter then I would have preferred and required me to remove my dinghy so that I could lay down a small sheet of plywood off my transom in order to allow my dog to get on and off the boat. A longer finger pier would have made things easier, especially if my only ingress and regress was from thr bow. Notwithstanding, I was very satisfied with my stay and would have no problem recommending to anyone interested in a high quality transient stay.
